„Catch“, „You Didn’t“ und „Like I Loved You“ sorgten für mitklatschende Stimmung, während „Beautiful Crazy“ (Luke Combs Cover) und „Mercy“ pure Emotion lieferten.

Munich, Tonhalle – October 27, 2025
There’s a moment in every great concert when the room feels smaller — when thousands of people somehow breathe in the same rhythm. That’s exactly what happened last night in Munich’s Tonhalle, as Brett Young turned a sold-out 2,000-capacity venue into something deeply personal.
The American country-pop star, known for his blend of soulful vocals and California charm, gave Munich a performance that was equal parts polished and heartfelt.
Opening Act: Sam Fischer – Honest, Pure, and Unfiltered
Before Brett took the stage, Australian singer-songwriter Sam Fischer opened the evening with a minimalist yet powerful set. Backed only by his guitarist, Fischer’s performance was built on emotion rather than spectacle.
His breakout hit “This City” drew warm applause — its reflective lyrics about feeling lost in a big world resonating deeply with the crowd. He moved effortlessly through melodic, soul-tinged pop tracks like “All My Loving”, and you could sense his gratitude for every bit of audience attention. It was the kind of opening act that doesn’t just warm up the crowd — it sets the emotional tone.
Brett Young Takes the Stage
At exactly 20:00, the lights dropped, a single guitar chord rang out, and the Tonhalle erupted as Brett Young stepped into the spotlight.
He opened with “Sleep Without You,” immediately turning the hall into a sea of voices. For an artist accustomed to playing American stadiums, this smaller Munich venue offered something different — intimacy.
“Wow, this place feels good,” he said with a grin, soaking in the cheers before sliding straight into “Ticket to L.A.” and “Tastes Like You.” From the very first moment, it was clear: this wasn’t going to be a distant, polished show — this was about connection.
Stories Between the Songs
One of Brett Young’s trademarks is how he speaks to the audience, not at them. Between songs, he shared stories about writing music on the road, about his marriage, and about life as a father of two.
At one point, after performing “You Didn’t” and “Catch”, he laughed:
“I promise I’m happy — I’ve got the perfect wife and two beautiful daughters. These sad songs aren’t about me anymore.”
That line got a laugh and a round of applause — and then came “Lady,” written for his daughter. The entire hall seemed to melt.
Highlights and Atmosphere
Musically, the concert hit every sweet spot of modern country.
“Drink With You” and “Like I Loved You” brought the energy up, while “Beautiful Crazy” — a Luke Combs cover — showcased Brett’s rich tone and emotional range.
His band shone during a mid-set medley, blending pieces of hits with tight rhythm and seamless transitions.
The Tonhalle’s acoustics gave every detail room to breathe — from the soft pedal steel to Brett’s effortless falsetto. The lighting matched the music: warm ambers for the ballads, cool blues and whites for the uptempo numbers.
Fans sang, swayed, and smiled throughout. During “Mercy,” the audience fell silent — you could almost hear the collective breath before the chorus hit.
And by “You Still Got It” and “Let Go Too Soon,” Brett had the whole room under his spell.
Encore and Emotional Finish
He closed the main set with “Here Tonight,” the perfect feel-good anthem, before briefly exiting the stage. The crowd didn’t budge — everyone knew what was coming.
As the band returned, Brett took a seat on a stool, strummed the first notes of “In Case You Didn’t Know,” and the Tonhalle turned into a choir of 2,000 voices.
It was simple, beautiful, and genuine — the kind of ending that makes a show unforgettable.
A Perfect Blend of Heart and Craft
No pyrotechnics, no overproduction — just musicianship and emotion.
The Tonhalle München proved to be the ideal space for this kind of show: warm sound, great sightlines, and an audience that was fully engaged from start to finish.
Huge thanks to Semmel Concerts and Tonhalle München for organizing a flawless and intimate evening. It wasn’t just a concert; it was a shared experience of country music at its most honest.
